My job hunt is beginning to bear fruit, or at least interviews. I was discussing this with my business instructor because I was taught long ago to send out “thank you notes” after an interview. These are small insignificant gestures but they make a huge difference.

They are not only kind but they are also a reminder to the potential employer that you still exist. It could be the difference between you and another person. Of course, a handwritten note is perhaps the best form of this do not discount a simple email. In our digital age, it takes no real time or effort to send an email but the impact can be huge.

It also shows that you as a human are thoughtful and humble.

Always remember it is the small soft skills that will get you the job. They matter. Be polite. Be thoughtful. And always be kind.
