So the culmination of my business class was a business plan. While this was a pain of a project, it is actually really useful. I had to think of all the details.
It all starts with a concept. I did a plan for a company that makes virtual reality tours for real estate. I called it Virtually Home. Throughout the process, I discovered some interesting things. Chief among these is that I could do this. It is feasible and reasonable to start my own business and be successful with it. The startup costs are low and the reward is decent. Even low balling my budget I can make money in the first year pretty easily.
It is an exciting thought and one I am considering more seriously. There is an allure to working for yourself. I suggest that everyone take at least one business class before graduating.
