img_7126A spontaneous decision on a Tuesday left me inside of the Sunshine Theater yet again. Another concert that, this time, had Mayday Parade and Knuckle Puck!

I have seen Mayday Parade before at Warped Tour and Sunshine Theater, so I thought I’d do it again. What really made me decide to go was seeing Knuckle Puck for the first time. It was their first time, that I know of, coming to New Mexico!

My friend Robbie and I showed up right when the opening band started. I don’t remember the name, but they did a pretty good job! Then Knuckle Puck came on, and they were phenomenal! I was a little sad that there wasn’t a cool mosh pit, however. But I wouldn’t have gone in it, anyway!

Mayday Parade decided to make this entire tour dedicated to their first album. My favorite!! They pretty much played the entire thing, and it was amazing. He even busted out a piano and played “Terrible Things”.  The lighting performance was super great too, especially when they dropped the disco ball and the entire place was lit up by orange and white. And the lead singers hair? ICONIC. I hope he never cuts it short; it being in his face, moving around when he sings, really adds flavor to the band, haha!

Mayday Parade is a rock band from my middle school memories, who bring back happy nostalgia of when life was simpler and I wasn’t stressed about finals. It was a really great concert, and throwback.
