What surprised you the most about UNM?
My biggest surprise at UNM was how much there is to do. When I went through orientation and saw how many different clubs and societies there are on campus, I was eager and excited to join all of them and surprised because I always heard that UNM was just a commuter campus, but in reality there is so much to get involved in.

What do you want to accomplish before leaving UNM?
Before leaving UNM, I would like to accomplish or say that I have succeeded by leaving a mark and being “world famous” to the campus. I want to know that because I put time and effort into helping the university and because I worked hard, someone after me will benefit from it and their job in college will be made easier.

What are your plans after college?
My plans after college are far to many to list, but overall, I want to be involved in the theatre in anyway possible, but if I had my pick, it would be to be on Broadway. I also want to be involved in health campaigns and be a doctor specializing in Homeopathic medicine. Additionally, I would love to continue learning and potentially end up in higher education.

What’s your best UNM experience so far?
My best UNM experience so far has been being an orientation leader. Meeting and helping all the incoming freshman plus getting to work alongside the ‘best of the best’ at UNM has been so incredible. Helping introduce students to UNM has also made me realize how much I love this university as well.

What a perfect way to spend a nice weekend: Seeing Portland, visiting family, spending time with loved ones and enjoying the grey skies/rain and not to mention the beautiful spring time in Portlandia. I can’t think of a better way to unwind and de-stress just before the crazy end of the semester.

I recently found out about some new trends that, although on the outset, might sound completely illogical and odd, are so much fun!! About a month ago, I was asked to go along on a Bike and Brew. What is that? Yes, at first I thought I misheard, too. Basically a Bike and Brew is […]

UNM Recreational Services and the Global Education Office took a trip to Sedona, Arizona over Spring Break and I was fortunate enough to go on this wonderful trip! Twenty of us loaded into two vans and went on a nice-little getaway adventure. I have never been to Sedona, but seeing how beautiful, relaxing and fun […]
